"Mountains of the Moon ", was a true story of two European explorers,Richard Francis Burton and John Hanning Speke. They came to explore and look for the source of the Nile river, thus leading the Europeans to conquer Africa. The Africans called the Europeans "white men", because they have never seen anyone like them before. This would leave at some points for the two explores to be captured and tortured by the Africans. Not only were the Africans the only dangers in Africa, the European explorers had to face very hot dry desserts & the shortage of water.
The Europeans also had to face diseases and deadly animals and weathers. In Africa there would be deadly bugs and insects and the European explorers would have to be cautious where they would be and what to touch. The Europeans had found the source of the Nile, and named it "lake Victoria" the third largest lake in the world. It is weird that the Europeans would name the source that kind of name , due to the fact that they were in Africa and it wasn't an African name.Europeans had a huge advantage over the Africans because they brought guns and had higher technology than the Africans, all the Africans had spears.

The Meiji Restoration of Japan
On March 31,1854, the Japanese signed a trade treaty with the United States. It wasn't really their option or choice, they were "forced" or some say "bullied", by commodore Mathew Perry, he was a United States Naval officer. Commodore Mathew Perry, frightened the Japanese, by showing his power with military might. The Japanese were not so high in technological devices or products, so when Mathew Perry dropped an anchor 26 miles off the coast of Edo,Tokyo, they were amazed of the movements made by ships with no sails. Mathew Perry brought a strong naval force to scare the Japanese , which actually worked out leading to a trade treaty to be signed.
The Japanese economy began to change, it began to build up its industrial base. The Japanese copied the ways European and American industries worked and provided for its people, they had a key view on how it works by the investigators that were sent out by the Japanese. In 1889, the Japanese government adopted a constitution based on the British and German models of parliamentary democracy, the samurai system was banned, railroads were constructed, and a banking system was started.Japan had made a transition to a western style industrialized country.

Karl Marx and Communism
Marx's point of view of communism is for everyone in society to share the wealth together. Marx once wrote that wealth should be distributed from each according to his abilities, to each according to their needs. Everyone would get the same amounts and social classes would be a thing in the past. Communism is based on the same amounts of money given to everyone in the country. The bad guys in this communism are the system of government, taking away peoples hard working money. Marx wanted communism to take over because capitalism contained its seeds of it's own destruction, meaning it will be no ones fault and people will not be able to argue with either earning to much or earning to little.
